ISSN application filed, and where indexing stands

A plain statement of the journal's current identification and indexing position, published so that authors can judge it for themselves.

Authors deciding where to send a manuscript are entitled to know exactly what a journal holds and what it does not. This notice states the position as it stands today, and it will be updated on this page and on the indexing and preservation page each time it changes.

What is in progress

ISSN. An application for an electronic ISSN has been filed with the National Science Library, CSIR-NIScPR, New Delhi, the ISSN National Centre for India. The number will appear in the site header, on every article page and in every citation block as soon as it is allotted.

Google Scholar. Article pages publish citation metadata in a form Scholar reads. Inclusion normally follows a few months after the first issue is published.

Crossref. Membership will be taken after the founding issue so that every article carries a DOI. The annual membership fee will be met by the board and will not be passed to authors in any form.

Directory of Open Access Journals. DOAJ requires an ISSN, a published archive and a year of continuous publication. The journal’s policies were written against DOAJ criteria before the first call for papers, and the application will be filed as soon as the record supports it.

What the journal does not have

No impact factor. No listing in Scopus or the Web of Science. No index that has not yet accepted it. The journal will not display a metric it has not been awarded, and it declines the services that sell index listings and impact numbers for a fee.

Why this notice exists

A new journal that overstates its standing damages the authors who trust it, because the claim collapses at exactly the moment the author needs it to hold, which is a promotion committee or a doctoral submission. The position stated above is the position. It will improve, and each improvement will be dated here.
